Below Deck has introduced fans to many crewmates across its seasons. While some of them, like third stewardess Raquel “Rocky” Dakota, stay for a few seasons, others go on.
Bravo viewers will remember Raquel “Rocky” Dakota, who was nothing if not entertaining during her brief stint on Below Deck Season 3. Almost every episode featured the thong-wearing, frequently shunned fireball, but where is she now?
What happened to Rocky from Below Deck?
In 2017, Rocky experienced a tragedy when Sophia Tiare Bartlow, her younger sister, died in an accident.
The sisters were exactly two years apart in age, and Sophia was deeply religious at the time of her passing.
Rocky started dating a man named Mark a few years after the tragic death of her sister. Mark was a far cry from the relationship dramas she had endured with Lucas on Below Deck.
Unfortunately, a video Rocky shared on her social media earlier this year suggests that things may have gone south in this new relationship, but she is still (thankfully) in a much better place than she was with Lucas.
Rocky seems to have found solace and peace by taking up the reigns of her sister’s religious beliefs, and she is now a proud Christian, often posting pictures and videos alongside her like-minded community of believers.
She has also demonstrated her patriotism by posting multiple Memorial Day celebrations recently. She appeared in an American flag bikini in one of the posts, implying that despite her changes since Below Deck, Rocky remains the same person who delighted viewers during the third season of the show.
Where Did Rocky From Below Deck Go After the Show?
Rocky from Below Deck left the yacht life soon after the show ended and relocated to Hawaii to pursue competitive diving and surfing.
Rocky has been traveling and has not watched TV, but she still updates her Instagram. And, going by one comment she made, she’s looking to leave the Rocky nickname behind.
Unfortunately, she suffered a personal tragedy in 2017, when her sister passed away. She practices Christianity, and occasionally posts motivational sayings and verses from the Bible on Instagram, regardless of whether the loss was a contributing factor.
