What happened to Ken Jeong on I Can See Your Voice?

Inspired by the original South Korean show, I Can See Your Voice features members of the public, usually in groups of two, attempting to distinguish between the good and bad mystery singers – the twist being that they cannot hear them.

Slowly, one by one the number of singers will be whittled down until we find out whether the final singer can actually hold a tune when they have a duet with the guest musical celebrity.

The competitive element means that if the two players, with the help of the celebrity judges, successfully expose a good singer, they will win the cash prize.

However, if a bad singer avoids detection, they end up taking the money for themselves.

Joel, 52, brought his fun-loving energy to the Fox show as a guest host, but it did not appeal to all viewers. On X, also known as Twitter, fans expressed their desire for Ken, 54, to return and host as soon as possible.

Ken Jeong is an American stand-up comedian, actor, and former doctor. He rose to prominence after playing Leslie Chow in the film series “The Hangover” and Ben Chang in the NBC sitcom “Community.”

Furthermore, he also appears as a panelist on The Masked Singer and hosts I Can See Your Voice.

“I was disappointed to see Joel McHale hosting #ICanSeeYourVoice again, Ken Jeong, come back,” one Twitter user wrote.

Fans held the same sentiment in Ken’s comment section after he shared a clip on Instagram of Joel hosting the show with the caption: “HELP ME #ICanSeeYourVoice.”

One fan commented on The Hangover actor’s post: “That is my question, why are not you on that show???” Another asked: “Where are you ????”

A third added that I Can See Your Voice was their “favorite program” because of Ken.

Despite Jeong’s temporary departure, his impact on the show is undeniable, given his role as a panelist on “The Masked Singer” and his hosting duties on “I Can See Your Voice.”

The decision to bring McHale onboard highlights Fox’s commitment to maintaining the show’s momentum and ensuring viewers remain engaged during Jeong’s absence.

It’s possible that Jeong’s demanding schedule and balancing several projects at once had an impact on his well-being, necessitating a much-needed sabbatical to put his general wellness and health first.

Whatever the precise reason for Ken Jeong’s absence, it is imperative to respect his right to privacy and give him the time and space he needs to take care of any personal matters or health issues.

Fans may rest easy knowing that Jeong’s health is probably the top concern and that his best interests will be taken into consideration when making decisions about his return to the show.
